A Change of Seasons

I am going to be spending less and less time on Flickr over the coming months as I pursue building my e-commerce site and developing my blog, as well as exploring new directions in Photography. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your views, comments and friendship. It has been an eye opener for me, a valuable learning experience and a boat load of fun. So I thank you.

  1. thanks Cynthia! I need to practice this. most of the things I do allow me lots of time to think and retake. I am SO SLOW… I never thought about intuitive closeness to my camera, so I can grab and change w.out thinking as in the article. But I have thought from the beginning about learning my camera like a musical instrument… so I can play it in that way. BUt I am so aware how slow I am… even though I practice every day.
YOur blog and esp your web site is astounding. it really shows the beauty and professional quality of your work far better than in flickr. flickr does not do you justice.
the web site and the blog are a great move for you and i applaud you!!!
as you know, I follow the light too so we are on the same path ;-))
I would love to do what you have done — but it takes me ages (even slower than photographing!!!) to think of what to say and then it is blahhhhhh…
anyhow thank you. I am going to follow your blog.
    your old fan!!! mL xx

  2. MaryLou, I am so happy you left a comment. First of all, you are an amazing artist, and even more amazing friend. I value you very very much.
I am very happy to hear that you are still following your visions and are doing so well. I continue to watch behind the scenes, only because I don't spend as much time on Flickr anymore.

Now, let me expand on a couple things. It DOES NOT matter how fast or slow you are. What matters is that you are true to yourself and express yourself in a way that is consistent with your your values.

I would love to see you put up a website/blog and display your work to the world!!!!!

I thank you, my friend, for your very kind comments about my efforts here and on my website. I have put a lot of myself into this blog, and it makes me smile to know that you are taking the time to read. That makes it all worthwhile. Honestly, it does.

Now, get out there and learn your camera. If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

    You take care, my friend.
